DJ Jonay 

DJ Jonay, also known as Jonay Amador, began buying his first vinyl in 1991 and it was 1992 when he made his debut at the Ku nightclub matinée at the age of 12, thanks to his fathers contact and also thanks to DJ Kruger, who opened the booth door for him, so he could play his first records.

In November 1993, his older brother took Jonay to DJ for the first time at a party. That day he was paid 4,000 pesetas at the Pub Ensalada km 2.5 La Esperanza, later known as K-2 with DJ Coco when he was only 13 years old.

It is Coco who automatically signs Jonay, who becomes part of the main team of the new radio project Universal Grooves 105.0fm by DJ Coco, Tap & Tan and Day-B, with the permission of his parents.

Everyday after school Jonay spent the afternoons on the radio with his classmates without knowing that he was writing his story in the electronic music of the Canary Islands. 

His hip hop influence has always been present in the rhythms that Jonay has not stopped playing during his career.  Winner of several awards including best retro DJ in Spain in 2014 and best DJ in the Canary Islands in the first Click & Roll of the Top 40 2023.

They confirm that, Jonay in the year of his 30th Anniversary, is fitter than ever and at the top of his musical career.  The most important artists of the genre endorse it, Jonay has become a DJ for Centreforce radio 88.3, one of the most famous radio stations on the planet.

His brand the RAVE KULTURE is sold out edition after edition and his name is synonymous with success.
