Matty Robbo

29 year-old DJ Matty Robbo was the first winner of the Slip Back In Time Mix Factor competition back in 2018. His unique sound, clever mixing and use of acapella has made him a respected name across the North West and beyond.

Matty has built his reputation with sets that nod to the past while pushing dancefloors firmly into the future. His selections move effortlessly through house, oldskool, tech and classics, always with an ear for energy, flow, and crowd reaction.

Matty’s brand Rework events, has been selling out venues across the North West with line ups and atmospheres that reflect the true spirit of house, oldskool and underground club culture.

Matty was formally a resident of one of the biggest UK club classics nights Retro and has played on line up alongside global stars Roger Sanchez, Judge Jules and more.

Matty currently holds residences for The Beatherder festival and High On Hope the home of the original northern underground acid house parties in the late 80s.

After nine years of DJing Matty still has much more to offer and 2026 is shaping up to be his biggest year to date.
