Dope Ammo – The Origins: From Drunken Masters to Dope Ammo (Mid-90s – 2008)
Starting as London club promoters in the mid-90s under The Drunken Masters name, the collective switched to drum and bass production in 1998, working with UK jungle legends Micky Finn and Aphrodite. After remixing their underground classic ‘Bad Ass’ in 2002 and signing to Urban Agency, they released successful anthems including ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Roots & Culture’. In 2008, founding member Coco went solo as Dope Ammo, releasing the Mixmag album of the month ‘Roots & Future’ and building a global fanbase through tours across Bangkok, Vienna, Berlin, Barcelona, Las Vegas, and New York.

Breakthrough Era (2016-2020)

High-profile collaborations followed with jungle legends Serial Killaz and Benny Page, plus remixes for A.M Sniper, Dynamite MC, Tenor Fly, Bigga Ranx, and Curren$y. Work extended to the gaming industry with PlayStation, Activision, and CodeMasters, producing video game music with Sigma, alongside production packs for Loopmasters and a full production course via BassGorilla.

Chart Success & Global Recognition (2020-Present)
Dope Ammo’s remix of Baby D’s rave classic “Let Me Be Your Fantasy” reached No.2 in the main Beatport Chart in 2020 and became Beatport’s biggest selling Drum & Bass tune over a 12-month period, with support from Carl Cox, High Contrast, and Radio 1. In 2022, the Moondance collaboration began, producing the ‘Together’ album which hit No.1 across Beatport, Juno, and iTunes Dance, featuring Ray Keith, Slipmatt, Nookie, and Bladerunner.

In a career spanning two decades, Dope Ammo has released music on top tier labels and toured across 20 countries. In 2024, Dope Ammo performed at Glastonbury Festival’s Nowhere Stage for Shangri-La alongside Fatboy Slim, Kurupt FM, and Katy B. In 2025, Dope Ammo returned to Glastonbury performing on the Temple Stage for a Dope Ammo Takeover alongside Queen of Jungle DJ RAP and The Uncommon Records crew. The same year saw a collaboration with UK vocalist Elisabeth Troy producing ‘You Had it’ & ‘Happiness’, both tracks receiving major support across Radio 1 & Kiss FM with live performances at Boomtown, Notting Hill Carnival, and an appearance on DJ AG’s Kings Cross live London show.

Elisabeth Troy  – Known for having one of the most distinguishable voices in modern music, Elisabeth Troy has had a electrifying career since starting out in Jungle and Hardcore in the early nineties, soon becoming a pioneering force to be reckoned with on the underground and mainstream dance music scene.

She achieved a massive underground club hit vocaling Bass Selective’s “Blow out part 2”, and a Huge top 40 with the now classic “Greater Love”. A few years on she further Cemented her place as a vocal and writing tour de force with her ground-breaking work with MJ Cole on the Gold Selling “Sincere” Album and numeral performances on “Top of the Pops” & “Later with Jools Holland”.

She has as shown time and time again that she can turn her hand to any genre and make it her own. The success of her collaboration with Digital Soundboy leading lady B.Traits introduced her to a new audience, Whilst at the same time bringing her back almost full circle to a sound very reminiscent to her Hardcore/Junglist roots.

Maintaining a fresh and forward vibe allowing her to explore new musical territories and blur the lines between dance music classics and more traditional singer-songwriter formats, it’s no wonder that she’s regarded as one of the hottest properties in British urban music.
