Rob Tissera has been on the scene since the early beginnings of house music in 1988.
Rob Learned his trade by playing on the pirate radio stations in Blackburn. After this, he was asked to play at some of the legendary illegal raves throughout the early nineties. He remains one of the only DJ’s in history to be put in jail for these exploits. He served 3 months in 1991 for incitement to riot. As you can imagine, this was the launch pad for his entire career as promotors clambered over themselves to book him. Rob was resident at 2 of the north’s very best events ARK and Bowlers.
He has also been monthly resident for Club UK, The leisure Lounge, Sunnyside Up, Golden, Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Fantazia, Resurrection, Garlands and more clubs than we’d care to mention. Since then, he’s not only travelled the world as a international house and hard house DJ but he is a founding father of the club phenomenon Kissdafunk.
Rob has also built up a fearsome reputation on the Old Skool circuit. He regularly plays the main stages of events such as Retro, Bowlers, Raindance, SOS Ibiza, Rejuve, Joy, Clockwork Orange, Fantazia, 90’s fest,
Reminiscence, Unity In The Sun and a host of other brands. Rob is also Creator of the seminal dance classic ‘The Day Will Come’ as his alter ego Quake with Ian Bland. The track along with many others has appeared on a raft of ‘Best of’ music compilations. The Heatbeat & Carl Nicholson remixes were recently played by Armin Van Buuren on his ASOT radio
show where the track was made tune of the week in a poll compiled from listeners votes. His latest Single Quake & Paul Priestley ‘369’ is currently being played by Paul Van Dyk and many other top trance level Dj’s.
Over the years Rob has received constant support by Radio 1 Galaxy, Capital FM, Kiss and many internet radio stations. He has done his own Radio 1 essential mix and been broadcast live from Ibiza on the Radio One Dave Pearce Dance Anthems show.
Rob is a true musical chameleon. He has successfully played and produced literally anything from house, electro, old skool, trance through to hard house. Rob has been lucky enough to play at every major festival and at the very best venues across Britain and the rest of the world. He regularly plays CREAMFIELDS and he is also now featuring at Cream events in several locations across the country included the Cream Weekender in Minehead in early December. His recent association with Clockwork Orange has seen him play sets at Benimussa zoo and also at the Clockstock festival at Cheltenham racecourse, as well as sell out shows at 338 in London & Koko in London.
He has toured Australia and New Zealand 11 times. He has also played all of Ibiza’s finest venue over the past 25 years including Pacha, El Divino, Amnesia, Eden, Space, Sankeys, Es Paradis, Benemussa Zoo,
Summum and Privilege. He also produced 3 tracks for the legendary cult film ‘human Traffic’ in the late nineties under his alter ego
Quake with Ian Bland.
Even after more than 20 years in the business, Rob is still able to remain fresh & current due to his versatility and he loves every single minute of it!!!
