Rob Tissera is a true pioneer of UK dance music, with a career spanning over 30 years at the forefront of house, hard house and club culture. Cutting his teeth on pirate radio in Blackburn in the late ’80s, Rob quickly became a key figure in the early rave movement, earning legendary status through his involvement in illegal raves and underground events that helped shape the scene. His early experiences laid the foundation for a career defined by credibility, longevity and relentless passion for club music.

Internationally renowned as a DJ and producer, Rob has played the world’s most iconic clubs, festivals and brands. He is a regular performer for Clockwork Orange, Housework, My House, Lashed, Tidy, Goodgreef, Trance In The Woods, Cream, Raindance, Unity In the Sun, Slip Back In Time , Rejuvenation and the hugely popular Butlins Weekenders, while also making consistent appearances in Ibiza at Amnesia and Eden. His touring history includes Australia and New Zealand, alongside shows across Europe and the UK’s biggest arenas and festivals.

As a producer, Rob is best known as the creator of the seminal dance anthem “The Day Will Come” (as Quake with Ian Bland), alongside a catalogue of releases and remixes that have received support from artists including Armin van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk and Judge Jules. His music and DJ sets have been featured across major radio stations including BBC Radio 1, Capital FM, Kiss and Galaxy, and he has delivered a Radio 1 Essential Mix as well as live Ibiza broadcasts.

In 2025, Rob released his autobiography The Smiler, documenting his journey through three decades of dance music history. From January 2026, he will host a monthly show on Centreforce DAB on the second Thursday of the month, continuing his influence on both new and old-school audiences alike. Constantly evolving yet always authentic, Rob Tissera remains one of the UK’s most respected and enduring figures in electronic music.
