Partying on the beach and beach-romping come in one package in Ibiza. And it’s in large part thanks to Ibiza’s beautiful beaches that partying there is a one-of-a-kind experience that draws in people from all corners of the globe. The natural beauty of beaches are complemented well by high-energy parties.
Here are some beautiful beaches in Ibiza well worth checking out, in no particular order:
Cala Llenya
Nestled within a valley of pine trees, this beach is hugged by white sand and gorgeous sapphire waters. If you don’t swim, you can still enjoy time in the water, because it remains shallow for a good distance before going deeper. And if you’re up for a picnic or some beach camping, set up your equipment at any of the picnic areas sheltered by pine trees or head to the numerous beach-side restaurants for some grub. Flexible, beautiful, accessible– three words to sum up Cala Llenya and Ibiza.
Las Salinas
If you’re more of the bar-hopping type, then head on over to Las Salinas. Finding great chiringuitos, or beach bars, is not difficult at all, as you’ll find this beach dotted with them. Enjoy the nightlife and party like your life depends on it to Ibiza’s signature Balearic music. Meet new people, both foreign to Ibiza and local. Hop from bar to bar and sample Ibiza’s unique, characteristic alcohol. This is the bar to be at if your idea of a good time is a drink (or two) in hand and some great, great music.
Cala Mastella
After days of partying, you might find that your body needs to be recharged. Spending a few days away from the beats and the drinks will do your body good (so you can head back in and party some more, of course!) For a little peace, quiet, and rustic charm, take a trip to Cala Mastella, Santa Eulalia. Trek over a dirt road winding through pine and cane forests and you’ll wind up at one of the most relaxing, most rustic beaches in Ibiza. This place has a certain pastoral charm combined with the qualities of a beach: enjoy crystalline waters for snorkeling. It’s been recommended to book weeks in advance for a one-of-a-kind lunch at El Bigotes for dining at a harbor’s edge, eating fish cooked over wood.
Beachouse, Playa d’en Bossa
Recharged and ready to go back into the fray? Ease back into the party circuit and take a trip to Beachouse, Playa d’en Bossa. While it hasn’t been around as long as some beaches, it makes for a great experience with atmospheric buildings and wonderful, fresh Italian food (seriously worth checking out if you’re a pasta and/or pizza junkie.) At day it serves as a great place to socialize with friends thanks to its relative small scale. When night comes, party away and meet new people and dance to new music. A great blend!
Sunset Ashram, Cala Conta
This amazing beach is quite popular, so it’s advised to book early if you want to experience what Sunset Ashram has to offer. It’s been called one of the best places to watch the sunset and a party location for good reason. When night comes, the DJs start playing great music and food is served via table service. It truly is a one-of-a-kind experience, and you shouldn’t miss out on it!
